Charge Nurse - Inpatient Wound Care New

Are you a highly skilled RN with expertise in wound care? We’re looking for a dedicated professional to join our inpatient Wound Care team at St. Joseph Hospital where your skills will make a lasting, life-changing impact! In this role, the charge nurse will occasionally float to St. Joseph's Hospital- North and St. Joseph's Hospital- South.

Your Role Within The Team

Are you an experienced nurse ready to take on a leadership role in wound care? We are looking for a passionate, skilled nurse with previous leadership experience and a commitment to evidence-based clinical excellence. As a Wound Care Nurse, you will:

• Provide specialized care for wound care and ostomy patients while utilizing effective leadership and managerial skills.
• Act as a professional role model and mentor for the nursing team, fostering collaboration and growth.
• Take on the role of preceptor and charge nurse, ensuring high-quality patient care and team coordination.
• Serve as a resource expert for colleagues, sharing knowledge and supporting professional development.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of RN experience with 1 year wound related experience.
• Previous leadership experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of treating a variety of wounds.
• BSN or BS in a healthcare-related field is required and/ or RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification must be obtained within 7 months of hire/promotion.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Registered Nurse (RN) License, and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) as applicable.
