Chapter 1023 2025 Meeting Updates

Hello everyone,

We had a small turnout of members at Duffys for the Grandma's Place Donation Event, but a large contribution that filled two SUVs for delivery. Roxanne from Grandma's Place joined us and let us know more about their mission and the children and families that they support.

Thank you to all who contributed, it was such a joy to see the generosity of our members, fellow coworkers, and even one of our surgeons and vendors. Dave Marshall of AST Laser provided a $500 donation that paid for our dinner ($250) and will allow us to have seed money ($250) for our raffle fundraiser. We will use the $250 to add to our chapter donation of $250 for a $500 Amazon gift card drawing. I will be creating some raffle tickets and will ask all of our members to sell at least 10 tickets with a prize for the highest seller. Please be on the lookout for more information and be ready to promote this raffle. Funds will be used to provide our annual Christmas gift and Christmas toys for Grandma's Place as well as AORN Expo for members.

*Please note, we will not have a 1023 chapter meeting in September, but I encourage everyone to attend the South Florida Fall Seminar at Hawk's Cay on September 13th. Please email me if you would like more information!

Please save the date for the next two 1023 chapter meetings on October 14th and November 11th. Details to follow on the next email.

And, don't forget about the SE Regional Conference in Jacksonville on November 1-2!
